These are some examples on how our experience, negotiation skills and expertise enhanced and added-value to the ultimate goals set by the host company. Once again we take our clients confidentiality in ultimate respect, so we are not disclosing company names, dates or program purpose.

Problem: a worldwide pharmaceutical company was about to sign a short-term contract with a NY Hotel for a last minute program (500 guests) to take place in less than 45 days from when they first contacted us. At first glance they were over budget with the costs using their existing suppliers.

Solution: they contacted GEC, we put a short-term business action-plan together, assigned a team to the program. Set-up a registration process and call-back system in less than 1 week. Contacted our partner suppliers in New York City with existing service agreements and gave them a flat management fee structure for the management of the program. We moved the event to one of our partner hotels at the same quality level they had before (where we would be doing another meeting in 3 months, so we were able to reduce the rate by $60 for giving the hotel multiple progams). Our pre-negotiated volume agreement with our ground transportation partner reduced the costs by almost 20%. We renegotiated the F&B packages and promotional items.

Result: Before contacting us our client was over budget. We delivered what they said was a 'little miracle', all the guests were happy, there was not one single complaint or unsatisfied participant --- and even with our management fees, the meeting came out under budget by almost $30,000.

Problem: GEC was contacted by the head meeting planner of a Fortune-100 company. She had received a call from one of her bosses: they needed to do a board of directors meeting in NYC in early December in less than 2 weeks. Now if you ever tried to get space in New York City in early December you should have an idea of this means. She had called all her resources, had a team of people working on it and have come up empty handed.

Solution: They contact us! We called in a few favors.

Result: in less than 24 hours we had 3 options on mid-town (4 and 5 star) hotels. ALL negotiated $20-60 below company policy cost mandates.
